Gears of War é um jogo de ação em terceira pessoa ganhador de diversos prêmios, inclusive o de melhor jogo do ano em 2006. Dar um enfoque especial para a cobertura foi uma adição brilhante ao jogo, permitindo que os controles sejam fluídos e responsivos, eliminando as limitações dos gamepads em relação ao mouse e o teclado.
